An Open Discussion on Role of Educators and Village Heads in the Development of Adolescents as Rural-Urban Initiative at B K Birla Institute of Higher Education

An open discussion was organized at B K Birla Institute of Higher Education on 16 March, 2024. The topic of this open discussion was responsibilities of school educators and village Sarpanch in youth development.

The main objective of this discussion was to create awareness about the future of youth development in rural areas. It also aimed at the participation of B K Birla Institute of Higher Education in the development of rural areas. Dr. Beena Narayan welcomed the guests and initiated the discussion as why the adolescent group is demotivated, goal deviated, and confused.

Mr. Sandeep Pareek Bhajpa, Zila Upadhyaksh, Jhunjhunu, Advocate Naresh Kumar from Haminpur, Mr. Samwant Singh Shekhawat, vice sarpanch from Morwa, Mr. Ramu Singh Sangwan, sarpanch from Morwa, Mr. Ashok Kumar Saini, sapranch from Ashok Nagar (Makhar), Mr. Dilip Lamba, sarpanch from badi Tirpali, Mr. Amar Singh, sarpanch from chhoti Tirplai, Mr. Satveer Jangid, director of Tagore school, Pilani, Mr. Kapil, director of Vashishth school, Pilani, Mr. Omprakash Saini, Youth Classes JJN, Mr. Pankaj Kumar, principal from GUPS Pantharia, Mr. Omraj Rao, teacher and BLO from GUPS Pantharia, and Ms. Suman Lata Sharma, principal of government school from Morwa were the guests who contributed in the open discussion.

They suggested to have career counseling and inculcate reading habits among the adolescent. They emphasized on guidance to keep the adolescent group away from being digressed from their main goal of getting educated and practicing cultural values. Dr. Beena Narayan concluded the program by thanking and presenting mementos to all the guests. The conclusion of this discussion arrived on the integration between both rural and urban areas to solve this problem. The program was coordinated by Dr. Rajni Singh, Mr. Jitendra Kumar and Mr. Amit Vyas.
